The challenge
A dragon boat festival is a tightly run day. Crew after crew takes to the water, and every result shapes who races next. Crews, supporters and organisers all want to know when they're on and how they did, and a printed schedule pinned to a gazebo can't keep up.
NewWave needed one system to plan the racing and share results the moment they happen, without asking anyone on the bank to download an app.
The solution
We built a race day portal that brings the schedule and the results together. The NewWave team builds each festival's race schedule in the portal and enters results as racing happens.
On the day, crews and supporters scan a QR code to follow the schedule and live results on their own phones. There is nothing to install and no waiting for the next announcement: just open the page and see where your crew stands.
