The challenge
Coin collectors know exactly what they're looking for, and they search in very particular ways: by era, by denomination, by monarch or by country. Much of the stock is one of a kind, and someone spending hundreds of pounds on a single coin needs to trust what they're buying.
The shop needed to:
- Organise a large, constantly changing stock so collectors can narrow it down quickly.
- Give each coin a listing that does justice to its history and condition.
- Make a specialist, high-value purchase feel safe online.
The solution
We built the shop around the way collectors browse. Collections run from ancient and hammered coins to crowns, florins, farthings, gold, Maundy money, tokens and banknotes, and a second route lets buyers explore coins by country.
Every listing has a full, descriptive title covering the date, monarch, design and reference, and featured pieces lead the homepage with clear prices and a quick add to basket. The design is dark, gold and quietly premium, with a guarantee that every item is genuine and an open invitation for collectors to send in a wants list.
